Ally Grace is TWO!

ALLY GRACE ~ June 2006

On Tuesday we celebrated Ally's second birthday. The morning started with pancakes served on Elmo plates and several Elmo presents! We spent the rest of day enjoying the pool up at Terrace Lakes. Both of the girls had a great time playing in the warm water! We discovered a really cool water toy called a Toypedo which kept us all entertained for quite a long time. (Mommy and Daddy too!) After dinner at the cabin, we went back for an evening swim. The cake and candles didn't come until about 10:00p.m. It was a fun way to celebrate...but the real party comes on Sunday. Since Sierra and Ally's birthdays are only 8 days apart, we are having a combined party this weekend. More on that later...

Here are a few snapshots of the day:

A happy smile as we sing to her.

This little girl has brought so much laughter into our lives these last two years! She is a little Energizer bunny - always on the go. We call her "Turbo" with good reason. Her pixie face and dark brown eyes can melt the hearts of perfect strangers. She loves to sing, climb and jump, tease, play store, shoot hoops, flush toilets, read books, eat soy beans and copy her sister.

Our prayer for her life comes from 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12. "Ally" means noble and "Grace" is that undeserved favor from God.

"And so we keep on praying for you, that our God will make you worthy of the life to which he called you. And we pray that God, by his power, will fulfill all your good intentions and faithful deeds. Then everyone will give honor to the name of our Lord Jesus because of you, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the undeserved favor of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ."
